Proper Grooming
My hair is FUBAR. I really, really, really, really hate it...but I'm tired of it being short so I'm growing it out. rolleyes I dunno how much longer I can take it without going to get a haircut. I have resorted to wearing a headband. A HEADBAND, people!! Hey, at least it isn't a banana clip...remember those? LOL Whew. Lemme get out my acid wash jean jacket and peg the legs of my pants. LOL But you are thinking to yourself, "But Jennifer, you love the 80s. You are a child of the 80's!" Why yes, yes I am. However, that doesn't mean that I want to dress the same way or style my hair like they did then. (Okay, maybe I truly, deep down inside wish for that, but only if everyone else is wearing those styles. LOL) So I'll sit here with my overgrown baboon hair and sulk until it grows out enough to where I can start chopping it into a style. Doesn't make me like it any more though. I sooo wish that I had the hair of my senior high school picture. (Taken in 1989, BTW, so there.) It was so pretty then. *sigh* Just a perm and a coupla cans of AquaNet with a ratting comb. Okay, not the comb. But there WAS a lot hairspray and my hair DID look good permed that way. NYAH. Now my nails on the other hand...well, I love having my nails done. So yesterday, I went to a new nail salon in town. WOW. These nails are fabulous! So shiny, so perfectly shaped. OoooooOOOoooOOOooo. I'll be going back there. And the person who did them was a GUY. I've never had my nails done by a guy before. And since I'm on the subject of grooming, I shall share with you my FAY-VO-RIGHT products. Here is a list. Ooh, a list. LOL I ♥ lists. ☺Philosophy's Chocolate Body Wash (and a whole buncha other ones plus the corresponding body souffle) ☺Finesse shampoo ☺Estee Lauder Double Matte Foundation in Cool Fresco ☺Estee Lauder pressed powder in Translucent ☺MAC lipstick in Capricious ☺MAC lip pencil in Beet ☺Estee Lauder Mascara ☺Urban Decay's Flavored Body Powder--lots of them. I love them all. I need them all. Send me more powder. Bah, I'm tired of thinking so that's it for now. I love grooming products. I love to buy them. I love to sample them. I love just looking at them in the stores. I love cheap ones, expensive ones, organic ones, foreign ones. You name it. Maybe I should start a museum. LOL:lol:
House cleaning…
I really, really, really hate cleaning house. Particularly cleaning floors aside from vacuuming with my ultra-cool Dyson! That being said, I had to do some heavy duty cleaning this weekend as we are having a guest this coming weekend. I love that we are having a houseguest...I just hate cleaning. mad It doesn't help that Doug is a total lazy bones about cleaning. He likes to "list" things....aloud...several thousand times all the while not accomplishing any of his listed things. I, on the other hand, do not even pretend as though I am going to clean. I just don't. Now, don't get me wrong. My house isn't NASTY. It's just the two of us. There is just a lot of "stuff" to move around. I swear when we move out of this house, I am taking maybe a van full of things with me. I hate having all this CLUTTER. Doug THRIVES on it. Has collections of it. Take for example his collection of old newspapers. NEWSPAPERS. NOT newspaper CLIPPINGS. Clippings we could put in a manila folder and file away. Oh no. These are newspapers from historical events. WHOLE NEVER OPENED TO READ NEWSPAPERS. mad Oh lets move on to his other collections. How about the collection of those floppy disks...or how about BOXES for things that he has bought. What about his collection of posters? Oh and lets not forget about the collection of miscellaneous cables and wires and plugs. Oh sheesh, how could I forget about his collection of old papers from when he started teaching or when he was still in school? I could go on and on and on. I have my own collections, this is true. I have an over abundance of scrapbooking supplies. However, these are all contained in pretty boxes on a shelf in the closet of what will become the office once he moves his collection of books out of that room & we find a desk. *SCREEEEEEEEAAAAAAAMMMMMMMM!!!!* (Take deep breaths...deep breaths...deep breaths.) So anyway, where was I? Oh yes, house cleaning. Well, I am considering having Merry Maids come in every week or every other week or so to clean bathrooms, mop the floors, dust, etc. Is this all too lazy? I know for sure that I am going to have them come in before our annual Christmas party. There is no way that I will have the time, energy or patience with work as it is right now. It would relieve us of a lot of those stupid household chores that I absolutely hate to do. It isn't very costly. And since we are refinancing to a 30 year mortgage, we have more spendable income. My friend at work has them come every week and he pays $110/wk with the initial cleaning charge of $300. I dunno. I'll request a price quote from them and see if it's worth it to us to pay for the service. In the mean time, I have to run and see if I can't tackle one of Doug's "collections." rolleyes:lol:

Is it possible to overlove your cat?
 I think I may have an unnatural obsession with my cat Ted. :???: This cat..oh this cat! I LUB HEEEM! He is so smart and so good and so cute and just the most wonderful kitty cat in the whole existance of cats ever created on earth. Plus, he LOVE MEOWMIE...no seriously. He grooms me. And I let him...LOL He greets me at the door when I get home. He sits in my lap. He fetches. He would make me a hot dog if he had thumbs and could get in the fridge. Seriously. It's like THAT. Once, my idiot husband let my precious bundle of fur outside by accident and I seriously considered bodily harm on the man. No, really. Like I was a split second from lobbing the industrial sized Maglite at his head while he blissfully slept and my precious angel muffin kitten was outside wandering around in the dark allll by himself without his meowmie to protect him. He now knows that if anything happens to this cat on his watch, that it's the BIG D for him. Ted and I would live in splendor with Heidi in our mansion in Kentucky from my half of the proceeds on the sale of this house plus half his retirement funds tucked safely away in our vault. Yep. Anyway, is it unhealthy to love an animal as much as I do? I dont mean THAT way you sickos. As in, I don't know that I could love a child as much as I love this cat. :?: I don't want to be the crazy old cat lady, but damn...this cat makes it hard not to be.
