Instead of sod, re-seed. Doing so in the spring while we’re still getting some rain but not down pours will stop you from having to water it all the time while it’s coming up.
Plus, it’s way cheaper than sod. Then you can get a cool sprinkler to water with. Or, you know, have the waterer fixed.
I’d get a type of lawn made for high traffic areas too. Dogs are high traffic.
But how do I keep the birds from eating all the seeds? How will I stand the dead grass between now and then? Spray paint?
Though it would be way cheaper than sod because the dogs are just gonna dig it up anyway....maybe I’ll just re-sod the front yard. The sprinklers are semi-fixed now. Mostly. But the damage was already done. The grass is crispy. The dirt where the grass used to be is now cracked. Yeah. Dry, eh.
Are goats high traffic? I really want a goat.
Dont get a goat. People will assume you are raising it for sacrifical purposes. Good luck on the fence. Are you painting/staining it something pretty that won’t clash with Dixie’s coat? You can’t possibly put her in a yard that will make her look bad.
Queenie: But what if I am raising it for sacrificial purposes? :o And I’m not staining or painting. I’m going to seal it and let the pretty wood shine through until it comes a time that I will need to stain it.
Plus, she’s white. She goes with everything!
